Dentist

Madi had her first dentist appointment. She did awesome, they cleaned, counted and painted varnish on her teeth. She is a little trooper. The funniest thing happened while we were there. Our hygenist Beth was making Madi comfortable and asking her all kinds of questions. Beth asked if Madi had seen Iceage - Dawn of the Dinosuar and Madi said yes. Beth said I like "Peaches", Madi's response was "I like pears". Ahh the mind of a three year old. I had to explain that just because we went to the movie theatre to see it doesn't mean we actually sat down and payed attention to it or the characters LOL.. It was a good laugh, thanks Madi.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl Madi Cakes Nov. 8

So my baby Girl just turned 3. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She had an awesome day at Blast Off, soaking in all her birthday glory. I just love this little girl, she is my little shadow following me where ever I go, my best little buddy. Wonderful things about my Madi; she is independent, so smart (even her teachers comment on what a whiz she is), my lovy cuddle bunny, she loves to help clean (hopefully this sticks for a long time). Madi loves strawberry milk, books, music, dancing, painting and her stuffed kitty cats.

Old Friends, Good Times DM 09

(yes I am one of those annoying peops that posts all the pix, hee hee )This was fitting for us, Go Grizz. :-)

Jodi brought notes we wrote to each other in High school. Yikes

The end of August I had the opportunity to hang out in SLC with some of my best buds from the old days. We went shopping, ate great food and went to see Depeche Mode in Concert. It was awesome. I have been Friends with Kim since the 2nd grade and Jodi since about 6th grade. Jodi came all the way from Salem, OR. Kim and her Top Chef hubby Derek were gracious enough to let us stay with them in their new house. They are BBQ pro's, we had cajun shrimp, chicken, parmesian squash and French bread (yes even the bread got its turn on the Barbi). A friend of their's made us Purple Woodies (tastes like purple passion but in a Margarita form, yummm) Thanks Kim and Derek

Up in FLAMES

So Saturday night ended up being a very eventfull evening. Matt had just left to go play music and Madi finally convinced me of cooking her ever favorite Mac N Cheese (microwavable kind). I started the microwave (3mins) and went to turn the laundry when I heard Madi say Mommy the microwave stopped. I was like whateva. When I came upstairs I could see the mins counting down but no noise or rotation coming from within. Tried to reset and do over and nothing, so I called Matt do let him know our POS micro died when I noticed it was on fire behind the # panel. This is when I freaked and was omg what do I do what do I do. Thanks goodness Matt was on the phone and told me to pull it away from the wall and put cold towels on it (after unplugging it of course). That was scary too, thought i was going to get electricuted. Once I pulled away from the wall then it got really scary, the smoke was billowing out, kids were crying, I pulled the wet towel off and the number panel was melting away from the base and flames started shooting out. Now that i could actually see in there to put it out, I threw a couple cups of water on it and it went out. My house stinks like burnt plastic (thank goodness for my new scentsy scents I just purchased). As Matt put on his facebook page "I found out my truck will do 100mph quite easliy when it needs to (like when your wife calls you to tell you the microwave is actually producing flames)". LOL sorry Honey
